Tony Bolger is a qualified accountant with an honours degree in Business Studies. He has over 30 years of experience working with UK and international SME’s – listed, VC or PE funded, predominately in the recruitment and business process outsourcing sectors. Recruitment brands include Empresaria Group Plc, RR Donnelly, Williams Lea, and Swift Oil and Gas.
Tony specialises in helping companies generate cost and service delivery efficiencies from their back-office functions through outsourcing.
Onshore Advisor with IMS:
Initially working as Onshore Advisor with IMS Decimal Tony was introduced to clients who faced new challenges within their finance function. Some of the challenges included increased finance costs, outdated finance software, undocumented processes, lack of internal controls, inaccurate and delayed reporting. He has observed how these challenges have an adverse effect on staff morale, in many cases, leading to high staff turnover.
As Onshore Advisor, he was able to meet with clients and help them overcome these challenges. He worked with the onsite team collaboratively to introduce and implement new finance software, which could successfully integrate with their CRM, payroll, or banking software. With Tony’s support, the team at IMS developed and implemented new processes and controls. Many finance related tasks were outsourced which produced immediate cost savings.
He was able to successfully onboard many clients during this time. With the successes, many of these clients have recommended IMS Decimal to other businesses facing similar challenges.
Tony went down memory lane about his journey from being a client to an Onshore Advisor and now Head of Client Services – Accounting and Finance (UK).
Recounting his journey from client to Head of Client Services Tony states ‘it has been amazing’.
